- The Lord is my shepherd,
I will not be in need.
He lets me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters. - And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.
- Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.
- But if we hope for what we do not see, through perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
- And who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good?
- That their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and that they would attain to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself.
- Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or expensive apparel, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness.
- If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
- If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- But now, Lord, You are our Father;
We are the clay, and You our potter,
And all of us are the work of Your hand. - For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it, either. If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content.
- For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established; that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.
- For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage battle according to the flesh.
- Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.
- Let Your favor, Lord, be upon us,
Just as we have waited for You. - Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
- The statement is trustworthy:
For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him. - For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.
- Now I make known to you, brothers and sisters, the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received, in which you also stand, by which you also are saved, if you hold firmly to the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.
- What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
- But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given to You.
- We love, because He first loved us.
- For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
- You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by the Law; you have fallen from grace.
- What then? Are we to sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Far from it!
- Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.
- Take words with you and return to the Lord.
Say to Him, “Take away all guilt
And receive us graciously,
So that we may present the fruit of our lips.” - Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope set on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
- For we walk by faith, not by sight.
- By this we know that we remain in Him and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit.
- For we have become partakers of Christ if we keep the beginning of our commitment firm until the end.
- For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
- “For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies,” declares the Lord God. “Therefore, repent and live!”
- Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary.
- This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
- So teach us to number our days,
That we may present to You a heart of wisdom. - For this reason You are great, Lord God; for there is no one like You, and there is no God except You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
- For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we are to love one another.
- To You, God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise,
For You have given me wisdom and power;
Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You,
For You have made known to us the king’s matter. - For in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His descendants.’
